3.2 All points allocated at qualifying events will be recorded, but for those competitors who are not registered as MYA members by 30th September of the League year, their points will be excluded from being allocated to affiliated clubs.

3.3 For all qualifying events, the number of points awarded to each competitor shall be calculated on the basis that any event winner scores 100 points. Each successive place position scores a proportionate amount of 100.  The differential between each place, and the last place score, is calculated as 100 divided by the number of competitors.  The points in the published League tables shall be displayed to one decimal place.

3.4 Additionally, competitors shall be allocated 5 bonus points for each event they sail in a qualifying event away from their home club within their District and 10 bonus points for each event they sail in a different District to that of their home club.

4.2  Subject to Regulation 3.1 above, a Club’s League points shall be the total of the points allocated to members of that club taking part in the event, including any bonus points as in 3.3 above and club points as in 4.1.

5.         Club Performance Improvement Award

5.1 Using the previous year’s points total as a base, each club’s initial given performance rating will be set at the beginning of the year and be measured against the previous year (but see 5.4).  The club achieving the largest performance rating increase at the end of the League year and not being awarded the Annual Club League Championship Trophy, will be awarded the Annual Club Performance Improvement Award.

5.2 From the beginning of the year the club’s ongoing performance rating will start from zero and will build up during the year and shall be calculated using the formula CP2x100/CP1 where CP1 is the total number of points for a club in year 1 and CP2 is the number of points for that club during year 2.

5.3 A club’s ongoing performance rating shall be displayed to one decimal place and be  updated and published with the other tables.

5.4 A club which did not receive any points in the previous year will not be eligible for this award until their second year of scoring.
